Equine Industry Program Marketing Refresh

Client: University of Louisville College of Business Equine Industry Program

Job: Reimagine the marketing materials for promotion at in-person events

The equine business department at UofL needed to refresh its image with a series of marketing pieces. Staff would take these pieces to recruitment and informational events to spread awareness about the top-rated equine industry program. The project included redesigning their tired brochure and creating a series of pull-up banners and backdrops to catch the attention of those interested in a career around horses.
As the art director for this project, my approach to the updated brochure was to capture the energetic spirit of the industry. To appropriately capture this spirit, the movement of the graphic needed to intertwine with the passion people have for this industry. Those who pursue a profession in horses must love horses. In the materials, viewers can picture themselves as the subjects of the photos, caring for and receiving affection or glory in association with the horses.
The final campaign collection is a stand-out at events, often the setting for posed pictures. With the new imagery, the Equine department has identifiable branding that differentiates it from other programs, garnering the attention and admiration of staff, students, and the community.
